Oven Baked Sticky Sweet Chilli Chicken Drumsticks + Video
Hey I’m back with another really simple and delicious dinner recipe. This one is not a one pot wonder but more of a one bowl wonder. All it requires you is to mix a few ingredients together in a bowl and pour over a packet of chicken drumsticks. This marinade will transform these pretty plain chicken drumsticks from meh to WOW! They transform into my Oven Baked Sticky Sweet Chilli Chicken Drumsticks. I mean they become a sweet, spicy, sticky mess that is a DELIGHT to eat. It won’t take you long in the kitchen to pull together and best of all there isn’t a lot of washing up involved.
I even did a video of these Oven Baked Sticky Sweet Chilli Chicken Drumsticks below so make sure you check that you.
I didn’t go fancy on the sides with this dish as I felt that moreish marinade kinda spoke for itself and just went with simple sauteed bok choy with a dash of sesame oil and some plain basmati rice. It was a perfect Monday dish when you just don’t feel like cooking and this requires little effort to get some kind of dinner on the table. It tastes delicious too so minimal effort plus good food equals a win in my book.
I found my kids were able to eat these wings as the sweet chilli sauce I find from my supermarket wasn’t super hot. This was the supermarket brand and they seem to skimp on the amount of chilli they add to it so it makes it perfect for little mouths. That being said if the chilli factor is putting you off making these for your kids simply swap the sweet chilli for some honey and it should still get that lovely caramelized outside that you want.
